The first is the covered call strategy. With this approach, you buy shares of a stock and then sell a call option, aiming to profit if the stock rises. If the shares get sold, you can buy another hundred shares; if not, you keep selling the option premium. This strategy is less hands-on compared to something like an iron condor, which requires monitoring both sides of the trade.
The second strategy is an at-the-money vertical. This is another set-it-and-forget-it type of trade, where you risk a set amount, often around $100, with the chance to make a similar amount. It’s simple and doesn’t need much adjusting.
